Geçmişte düzenli yapılan ama artık yapılmayan alışkanlıkları ve geçmiş durumları anlatmak için used to + fiil (yalın) kullanırız.
- Olumlu: I used to play football.
- Olumsuz: I didn't use to like coffee. (use to — 'd' düşer)
- Soru: Did you use to live here?
Anlam: eskiden öyleydi, şimdi değil. Şimdiki alışkanlıklar için kullanılmaz.
