Present Continuous — Negative (Review & Beyond)
Hızlı tekrar: am / is / are + not + fiil-ing → I'm not working, she isn't working, they aren't working.

Bu konuda: iki farklı kısa biçim, geçici olumsuzluk ve Türkçe konuşanların en sık düştüğü "-mıyorum" tuzağı.
1. İki kısa biçim

I için tek kısa biçim vardır: I'm not (❌ I amn't, ❌ I aren't). Diğerlerinde iki biçim de doğrudur; 's not / 're not "not"u biraz daha vurgular.
2. Geçici olumsuzluk: "bu aralar ... -mıyorum"
- I'm not drinking coffee this week. (Normalde içerim; bu hafta içmiyorum.)
- I don't drink coffee. (Genel olarak içmem.)

3. "-mıyorum" her zaman -ing değildir
Türkçede anlamıyorum, bilmiyorum, hatırlamıyorum, istemiyorum hep '-iyor' ile söylenir. İngilizcede bu durum fiilleri (understand, know, remember, want, like, need, believe) genellikle continuous olmaz; olumsuzları don't / doesn't ile kurulur:
- I don't understand. (❌ I'm not understanding.)
- She doesn't know the answer. (❌ She isn't knowing.)
